OHSU Health (OHP) requires prior authorization before treatment can begin. We must submit a request on your behalf with a completed Back Pain Screening Questionnaire. Please book your appointment at least 14 business days in advance to allow for OHSU processing time.
Providence Health Plan has moved acupuncture coverage for some plans to American Specialty Health (ASH). All services will now require prior authorization and medical necessity reviews, while reimbursement rates have been significantly reduced, making it difficult for us to continue providing care under these terms. We are currently accepting new patients with Providence Assurance OHP plan and Providence Preferred plans including: Intel, PEBB, ASO, School District #1, Clackamas County, and PGE. We are not currently accepting new patients for Providence Oregon Commercial Large, Small, and Individual Group plans.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture treatments involve the gentle insertion of fine needles at specific points to address areas of energetic imbalance and support the body’s natural flow and harmony. Each session is customized to meet your individual needs, with the goal of reducing pain, easing stress, and enhancing overall wellness. Depending on your treatment plan, sessions may also incorporate additional therapies such as aromatherapy, tuning forks, infrared heat therapy, moxibustion, or personalized herbal medicine recommendations. Together, these modalities provide a holistic approach to restoring balance and promoting long-term health.
Bodywork
Bodywork is a restorative therapeutic approach that supports the body’s natural ability to heal and rebalance. Sessions integrate gentle craniosacral therapy, the vibrational benefits of tuning forks, and the subtle release of myofascial techniques to reduce tension and promote ease throughout the system. Treatments are guided by energy work and an intuitive understanding of the fascia and tissues, allowing for a deeply individualized experience.
When appropriate, modalities such as gua sha or cupping may be included to enhance circulation and support the body’s healing process. Unlike deep tissue massage, this work addresses the body on a more refined, subtle level, creating lasting shifts without force or deep pressure. The result is a calm, balanced state that encourages overall wellness and resilience.
Integrated Acupuncture & Bodywork
This restorative treatment combines the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture with the gentle precision of bodywork for a truly holistic experience. Fine needles are placed to address energetic imbalances, reduce pain, and restore the body’s natural flow, while bodywork techniques—such as craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and tuning forks—invite the tissues and nervous system to deeply unwind. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and may also include complementary therapies such as cupping, gua sha, infrared heat therapy, or aromatherapy. By blending these two modalities, the treatment works on both the energetic and structural levels, encouraging profound release, balance, and resilience throughout the body.
Integrated Acupuncture & Cupping
This therapeutic treatment blends the restorative effects of acupuncture with the circulatory benefits of cupping therapy. Fine needles are used to address energetic imbalances and support the body’s natural flow, while cupping gently lifts the tissues to release tension, improve circulation, and promote detoxification.
Each session is customized to your individual needs and may also incorporate additional modalities such as infrared heat therapy, tuning forks, or aromatherapy. Together, acupuncture and cupping create a powerful synergy—balancing energy, easing pain, and restoring vitality from the inside out.
